These terms cover your use of this website, farolis.co.uk. Please read them before using the site or sending us an enquiry — by doing either, you are accepting them.
They are deliberately short and written in plain English. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will explain it.
Who we are
This website is operated by Farolis LTD. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean Farolis LTD; where they say "you", they mean the person using the site.

About these terms
Using this site means you accept these terms. Our contact form also asks you to tick a box confirming it, because sending us an enquiry is the one thing on this site that involves giving us your details.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the site. You are welcome to email us instead.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — if the site changes, or if the law does. The version and date at the top of this document tell you when it last changed, and the current version is always the one published here.
We will not email you about changes. If we make a change that materially affects you, we will say so clearly on this page rather than quietly amending the text. Please check back before relying on anything here.
Using this website
You are welcome to browse this site, read anything on it, and get in touch. There are no accounts to create, nothing to log in to, and nowhere to post your own content.
Please do not:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaks any law that applies to you;
- send us anything through the contact form that is abusive, deliberately false, or that you have no right to send us — including someone else's personal details;
- attempt to gain access to any part of the site, or any server or system connected to it, that is not made available to you;
- knowingly introduce a virus or any other harmful code, or attack the site in a way intended to make it unavailable to others;
- scrape, copy or republish the site's content in bulk, or use automated means to submit enquiries.
If you break these terms, we may stop you using the site. Serious misuse may be reported to the police, and we will co-operate with them.
The information on this site
We take care to keep this site accurate and up to date, but it is here for general information. It is not advice, and you should not treat it as the final word on what something will cost or how long it will take.
In particular, the prices and timescales shown on our Services page are indicative. They tell you the shape of what we charge and how long a typical build takes; they are not an offer, and our pricing calculator gives an estimate rather than a quote. Anything we agree with you is set out in a written quote, and that quote is what governs the work.
Everything on this site — the words, the design, the illustrations, the Farolis name and mark — belongs to us or is used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our written agreement. Screenshots and names of the businesses shown in our portfolio belong to those businesses and appear with their knowledge.
Work we do for you
These terms cover this website only. They do not set the terms of any work we go on to do for you. If you engage us to build, host or maintain a website, that arrangement is covered by the written quote and agreement we send you — which sets out the price, what is included, and how either of us can bring it to an end.
Ticking the box on our contact form accepts these website terms. It does not commit you to buying anything, and it does not sign you up to the terms of a project you have not yet been quoted for.
For the avoidance of doubt: a website we build for you is yours. Once you have paid for it, you own it, and it stays yours whether or not you continue to host it with us.
Links to other websites
This site links out to a small number of other websites. At the time of writing they are:
- lucasbernardo.com — a client's website, shown in our portfolio.
- ico.org.uk — the UK's data protection regulator, linked from our privacy policy so you can complain to them if you need to.
- developers.cloudflare.com — Cloudflare's own description of the cookies it sets, linked from our cookie policy.
- silktide.com — the makers of the cookie consent banner we use, credited inside its settings panel.
We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or for what they do with your information. A link is not an endorsement, and once you follow one, their terms apply rather than ours.
Availability of the site
We aim to keep this site available, but we do not promise that it will always be up or free of faults. We may change it, suspend it, or take parts of it down without telling you first — for maintenance, or for any other reason.
This section is about farolis.co.uk itself. It says nothing about the availability of a site we host for you, which is covered by your own agreement with us.
Getting in touch, and what happens next
Our contact form is the way to reach us, and you can email us directly at [email protected] instead if you prefer.
We aim to reply to enquiries and complaints within 3 to 5 business days. Business days mean Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. Sending us an enquiry does not oblige us to take on the work, and we may decline a project without giving a reason.
What we do with the details you send us is set out in our Privacy and Cookie Policies.
Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss you suffer through using this site, or through being unable to use it — including any loss of profit, business, or data, or any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our doing something wrong.
If you are using this site as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. If you are using it in the course of a business, this section applies in full.
Privacy and cookies
How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy and Cookie Policies, which forms part of these terms. The cookie section of that document is at Cookie Policy.
In short: the contact form is the only place we ask you for personal information, we use it to answer your enquiry and nothing else, and this site sets no cookies of its own.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies there.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them continue to apply.
How to contact us
For anything about these terms, write to us at [email protected], or by post to Farolis LTD, 19 Heysmoor Heights, 14 Greenheys Road, Liverpool, L8 0PY, United Kingdom.
